This study deals with the helicopter pilot training in emergency procedures. The research was restricted to the Batalhão de Radiopatrulhamento aéreo (Btl RpAer) which is the unit responsible for managing and implementing aviation activities in Minas Gerais Military Police (PMMG). The primary mission of Btl RpAer is to act in support of other operating execution units of PMMG, and its activity reflects an important mode of policing and supporting the police operations around mining territory. The aim of this study is to evaluate the training of PMMG helicopter pilots in emergency procedures in the flight manual of the AS-350 type. It is bibliographical and documentary research, using quantitative questionnaires. The study shows the perception of PMMG pilots about the planned training in the Education Guidelines for Military Police (DEPM) with respect to emergency maneuvers and also allows a comparison between this course and others offered by Centro de Treinamento Aeronáutico (CTA) approved the Agencia Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC). It concludes that the "six-month pilot training" set out in Annex "A" DEPM must fit the operational reality of the Battalion and also the functional competence of PMMG, as provided for in aeronautical regulations.
