Human Trafficking in Connecticut: Baseline Needs Assessment Findings

Wed, Nov 16, 12:30 to 1:50pm, Hilton, Marlborough B, 2nd Level

Abstract

The overall goal of the Connecticut Child Welfare Trafficking grant is to build infrastructure and a collaborative model to better address Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children. ICF International, in partnership with Connecticut’s Department of Children and Families, conducted a baseline needs assessment to: (1) identify unmet needs and service gaps for human trafficking victims; (2) assess state-wide collaboration in response to human trafficking; and (3) understand the level of awareness and strategies for identification. This presentation summarizes the baseline findings and preliminary survey results measuring the effects of raising awareness about human trafficking.
