Measuring the Impact of Policies against Transnational Organized Crime and Illicit Markets

Thu, Nov 16, 12:30 to 1:50pm, Marriott, Room 310, 3rd Floor

Abstract

Teaching Organized Crime should be extended to the methodological implications of measuring the impact of policies against it. A discussion about indicators of output and outcome could involve students of different disciplines, including Law Schools. It is necessary to help them to look beyond the compliance aspects and move to more sophisticated indicators and methodologies that could help to outline if a given policy works or not.
