The papers in this session address how people who have been incarcerated continue to be shaped by various forms of criminal justice system involvement. Papers address barriers imposed by probation or parole, "sex offender" classifications, half house involvement, and open cases. Together they highlight the ways in which the criminal justice system imposes barriers to successful reentry and fosters legal cynicism.
