Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
What creates momentum for data thinking in public defender offices? The presenters--data scientists and attorneys from two NYC defender offices--will discuss the approaches they have used, including overlap, differences, advantages, and limitations. The panel will identify which strategies are tried and true, which experimental, and which ill-advised. The presenters will also share new possibilities for creating capacity to use data to serve clients.
