Abstract

This panel includes papers on “the (nuanced) mechanisms, processes, and rationales underlying the adjudicative plea process” (Shteynberg), “attorney influence on a defendant’s plea decision-making” (Henderson & Shteynberg), and “whether release based on a defendant’s individualized risk might be a better way to ensure court appearance and prevent new criminal activity” (Naufal, Sloan & Carmichael).
