Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
While diversifying the professoriate has long been a priority on many campuses in the United States, foreign-born women of color, especially Korean women remain underrepresented in the discipline of Criminology and Criminal Justice. In an effort to address the unique barriers and obstacles facing Korean female academics at various career stages, this Division of Women and Gender (DWG) of the Korean Society of Criminology in America (KOSCA) sponsored roundtable is designed to offer advice and share experiences as foreign-born women of color in academia. Topics to be discussed include mentoring, networking, collaboration, and reciprocity.
