Roundtable: Victimology and the Job Market: Academia and Beyond

Abstract

From sociology, to psychology, to criminology and criminal justice, the area of victimology reaches across the social sciences. Considering this, finding a job in victimology can seem daunting. This roundtable will explore the academic job market in the area of victimology and other possibilities outside of academia. Additionally, strategies for job searching in academia, tips for interviewing, and other strategies will be discussed. Overall, the goal of this roundtable is to provide a forum for both the sharing of ideas and discussing ways to obtain employment in the area of victimology.
