Roundtable: Understanding Street Culture

Abstract

Street culture has been implicated as an important contextual factor in trying to understand deviance, criminality, and law enforcement responses to individuals and organizations that spend a disproportionate amount of their time on the streets of large cities. This panel assembles international experts to discuss the origins of the term, its use as a causal variable, and its connection to cultural commodities.
