This paper focuses on the differences between video footage captured on police officer body-worn cameras and actual observations by researchers in the field. Using systematic social observation (SSO) data from the evaluation of body-worn cameras in the Los Angeles Police Department, researchers compared those SSOs to video footage from the police.
