Using Publicly Available Crime Data

Abstract

The amount of publicly available crime data is growing rapidly, yet the ease of using this data has not kept pace with its sheer quantity. Given the growing amount of data available, and growing public interest in the criminal justice system, making data accessible to all interested stakeholders remains an important concern. This presentation describes a number of these data tools, what data they make available, and how to use them.
