In this talk I will show how I have developed student learning outcomes for my community-engaged course, Juvenile Justice. Student learning outcomes are appropriately leveled for the course and scaffolded within the curriculum in my department. I have also matched departmental program learning outcomes to those student learning outcomes so that students are able to see their learning trajectory. Audience members will walk away with my experiences on creating those outcomes and ideas for creating their own student learning outcomes for their courses to help assess student learning.
