Abstract/Description
This panel will share empirical research into procedural justice issues in the policing of communities, and the inherent issue of police legitimacy. Drawing on collective insights from across different countries in the world, the authors will draw attention to new and emerging police tools, investigative strategies, reform efforts and public relations strategies from an international perspective and their implications in terms of larger efforts to demonstrate transparency and cultivate legitimacy among the general public.
