Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
This roundtable will provide a forum for the discussion of research being undertaken by scholars from a number of different countries and continents who are part of an international network of prisoners’ families researchers. The participants will discuss their current research projects which cover a wide range of topics within the field of prisoners’ families. In 2018 the group published an edited book (Condry, R. and Smith, P. eds. (2018) Prisons, Punishment, and the Family: Towards a New Sociology of Punishment, Oxford University Press) and are now working on further individual and collaborative projects. The discussion will not be limited to the named participants - other members of the network will also be in attendance and will contribute to the discussions.
