Abstract

A pedagogical discussion on the examination of the nature and scope of crime along the United States-Mexico border. In addition, an evaluation of the strategies and programs employed by the American and Mexican governments to control criminal activity on the U.S.-Mexico border. Focusing on the importance of understanding the history of the U.S.-Mexico border to make sense of the fear and stigma that comes with the image of the U.S.-Mexico border as a lawless area.
