Session Submission Type: Complete Thematic Panel
Behavioral threat assessment is an increasingly common technique used by K-12 schools in the United States to systematically 1) evaluate the likelihood that a student will carry out a violent act given an explicit threat or behavior indicative of a threat and 2) determine how to respond. This panel will share findings from studies, including National Institute of Justice (NIJ)-funded projects, examining questions regarding the implementation and impact of various threat assessment efforts.
