Session Submission Type: Roundtable Session
Research in criminal justice and criminology has long employed eclectic methods in order to investigate contemporary crime and justice phenomena. Consequently, researchers have made use of approaches from both quantitative and qualitative traditions. This roundtable session focuses on specific research methods that have the potential to better inform fundamental criminal justice policy and practice. In addition, methods with the intent of illuminating the voices of participants will be discussed. The session highlights both quantitative and qualitative approaches that may be useful in achieving these objectives.
