Abstract/Description

This panel offers the opportunity for conference attendees to hear from the head of the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs (OJP), the Department’s lead grantmaking entity, and from the leaders of OJP’s National Institute of Justice, Bureau of Justice Statistics, Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency & Prevention, and Office for Victims of Crime. Panelists will share their visions for infusing data and research evidence into all facets of DOJ’s grantmaking, justice reform initiatives, policy leadership, and practitioner engagement. Ample time will be set aside to listen to attendees share what they view as the most pressing research priorities for the field and for panelists to field any questions they may have.
