Abstract/Description

This roundtable will discuss contemporary crime and justice issues in the Caribbean during the COVID-19 pandemic. It explores how social, educational, psychological, and economic shifts have affected life in the region and are likely to have going impacts on crime trends. It considers the justice systems’ capability to proactively and reactively adjust to circumstances. Focus points include the effects on youth, interpersonal violence, economic crimes, and violence.
