Women's Personal Diaries in the Polish "Women's Archives" Database: Discoveries and Perspectives

Abstract

This paper will present the collection od nineteenth and twentieth-century women's personal diaries, which have been catalogued in the "Women's Archives" database. The database is a multi-year large project started by researchers at the Institute for Literary Studies in Warsaw, Poland. The paper aims at highlighting the need for such archival projects and obstacles encountered during the projects.
