Session Submission Type: Panel
This panel addresses various aspects of transnational and translingual artistic production by Russian-speaking writers born in the former Soviet space who currently live in the west and produce works in English on Russian-related themes. It analyzes these writers’ hybrid textual practices and self-representations and their construction of diasporic literary communities, as well as examining the ways in which some of these works are beginning to veer away from the subject of hyphenated cultural identities.
