Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program: Promoting Diversity for Opportunities in Eastern Europe and Eurasia

Sat, November 12, 2:45 to 4:30pm CST (2:45 to 4:30pm CST), The Palmer House Hilton, Floor: 3rd Floor, Crystal Room

Session Submission Type: Roundtable

Brief Description

The Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program roundtable at ASEEES Convention in November 2022 will provide information to ASEEES members to learn first-hand about the Fulbright Program’s opportunities to teach, research and conduct professional projects in over 40 countries in Europe and Eurasia. Fulbright program staff at IIE staff will lead this session, highlighting Fulbright alumni who are ASEEES members as they share their experiences. This session will outline key insights from IIE program staff on resources available, guidance and advice on successful applications, and alumni perspectives. The major takeaway for this session will be to encourage ASEEES members to apply to these opportunities and help diversify the pool of program participants. As Fulbright strives for more diversity across all programs, IIE recognizes ASEEES as a crucial partner with a diverse audience for engagement.

An IIE moderator will lead a panel discussion with three ASEEES members who are also Fulbright U.S. Scholar Alumni. They will share their Fulbright experiences in East Europe and Eurasia and encourage other members to consider Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program to pursue their academic and professional goals.
