STEM Self-Study of Teaching Inquiry Group: Getting Out of Our Element

Abstract

A teacher educator studies her role in facilitating a STEM faculty self-study group informed by participants’ experiences enacting self-studies of teaching. Results in a priori coding from facilitator designed framework include: value/opportunities, challenges, making teaching/research public, and lessons learned. Supporting such groups for building individual and institutional capacity is discussed.
