Abstract

This paper presents narrative and visual data from a photovoice project describing the race-gendered microaggressions experienced by cisgender heterosexual and queer Black men attending a private liberal arts institution. The paper also explores the performativity of Black masculinities and how Black men manage race, gender and sexuality within school contexts.
