EdD or PhD?: Black Doctoral Students Program Choice

Abstract

There is significant underrepresentation of Black doctoral students (NSF, 2015). This presentation will discuss how doctoral students choose to pursue an EdD or PhD in education and the influences from peers and faculty that help guide their choice and the impact of these choices on their doctoral experience.
