Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Transfer: Student Transfer Outcomes in Texas

Abstract

This qualitative study analyzed two years of data from 61 transfer-intending students in Texas. Using the transfer literature, the researchers identified eight student-level conditions that may impact student transfer outcomes. The researchers determined which combinations of the conditions were related to students’ successful transfer to a four-year institution.
