Negotiating Questions of Access and Equity in a Borderland Early College: The Complexities of Implementation

Abstract

Early college high schools are designed to target underrepresented students, but little research has examined how this objective is negotiated in practice. This study examines how administrators and teachers in one early college define and support their target student population, and how students who are struggling academically experience the program.
