This study uses revisionist historical methods and a critical Whiteness framework to examine the history of Penn State’s College of Education in the decade following Brown v. Board and to explore contradictions between the institution’s espoused commitment to integration, and accounts of marginalization reported by Black students, faculty, and staff.
