Abstract

In light of recent threats to academic freedom and institutional autonomy from the Hungarian government (Karáth, 2018; Matthews, 2017), the purpose of this IE was to understand both the institutional structure of STEM education in Hungary and how larger higher education policies, practices, and discourses were impacting Hungarian Higher Education.
