Who Performs Better?: Investigating the Factors Affecting the Research Performance of Expatriate Faculty in Korea

Abstract

This study investigates the institutional and individual factors affecting the research performance of foreign faculty in Korea. The dependent variables were the quality and academic impact of research. The result showed that research-related institutional characteristics, faculty rank, and major field have significant impacts on the research performance of expatriate faculty.
