The paper analyzes in the demonstrations of June 2013 in Brazil the configuration of the acts, the impacts, and the legacy of those protests. Central issues stand out that emerged at the time: demands, the social composition of the protesters, the generational issue, violence in the streets, the need for political reform, the difficulty of dialogue with the government, exposure in the media and social networks. It is asked: what memories were recorded, what were the changes, what were the novelties in the collective actions created, what kind of activism was present. How did the government interact with young people after 2013? How did the process of dedemocratization and anti-democratic acts impact the performance of the youth? It seeks try to decipher its meaning and the enigmas of that time that impacted what came after and understand why there is a dispute about its legacy.
