This session aims to link Asia Pacific Educational Research with Comparative and International Education Research from Asian and Western perspectives. Presentations will focus on discussing about academic issues and exchanges within the Asia Pacific and Comparative and International educational contexts.
Invited scholars will examine recent patterns in published research on education in the Asia Pacific region in English language journals, providing a general overview and then focusing on a few specific areas in which research generated and/or supported by Asia Pacific sources is leading inquiry, present about Asian’s current educational issues through the comparison Asia-Pacific education policy studies to American education policy studies, and discuss about communities of researchers of Asia and the Pacific and the uniqueness of Asian Pacific education research through the institutionalization of comparative education in Asia and the Pacific areas.
This session will raise important intellectual and practical issues about Asia Pacific and Comparative and International Educational Research. Further it will help the scholars to stimulate their research interests about Asia Pacific and Comparative and International context, and develop new initiatives that will strengthen the relationship and enhance the professional development of scholars for global cooperation.
