A Study of the Influencing of Teacher-student Relationship on the Resilience of Junior High School Students 师生关系对初中生复原力的影响研究

Proposal

Resilience is the ability of an individual to recover from a stressful situation. Individual resilience is not only conducive to improving the academic performance of junior high school students but also beneficial for promoting their mental health and lifelong sustainable development. Based on the survey data of 1,763 students from seven counties in five provinces in 2016, this paper investigated their current levels of resilience and further analyzed the effect and mechanism of teacher-student relationship on the resilience of junior high school students drawing on the dynamic model of resilience. Through regression analysis and intermediary effect test, the results show that :(1) The relationship between teachers and students can significantly predict the level of resilience of junior high school students. (2) There was also evidence that self-esteem plays a partial intermediary role in the influence of the teacher-student relationship on the resilience of junior high school students. In other words, the positive teacher-student relationship can improve the resilience of junior high school students by strengthening their self-affirmation and reducing their self-denial. Therefore, the results show that students' resilience level can be improved by developing positive teacher-student relations and maintaining self-esteem so as to lay a foundation for their difficulty resolution and sustainable development.

复原力是个体面对压力困境时恢复的能力,提高中学生的复原力水平有利于学生从困境和挫折中更快地恢复,且有益于改善其学业成绩,提高心理健康水平,实现个人的可持续发展。本研究运用2016年对中国广西、贵州、辽宁、云南和重庆五个省区7个县的1763名初中生调查数据,了解当前中学生的复原力水平,进一步根据复原力动态模型,分析师生关系对初中生复原力的影响及其机制。研究通过回归分析以及中介效应检验,结果表明:(1)师生关系对初中生的复原力水平有显著的预测作用。(2)自尊在师生关系对复原力的影响中起部分中介作用, 即积极的师生关系能够通过加强中学生的自我肯定、减少自我否定来提高其复原力水平。因此,可以通过发展积极的师生关系、维护初中生的自尊将有利于提高其复原力水平,为学生能更好地克服种种困难、实现个体的可持续发展奠定基础。
