Proposal

Over the past decades, with technical progress and social development,
the importance of non-cognitive skill has been realized gradually in China. It’s necessary to develop a whole-person with a balanced set of cognitive and non-cognitive skills so that they can better face the challenges and sustain lifelong development. This session aims to discuss how to effectively measure non-cognitive development and understand the factors that influence it, and four empirical studies are conducted by questionnaire in China, two of them measured the non-cognitive skills of children and university teachers, and the other two examined the resilience of junior high school students and the environmental adaptation of international students.
