Group Submission Type: Refereed Round-Table Session
This round-table group session consisting of three papers draws on a comparative, Leverhulme-funded, International Network project examining youth Activism, engagement and the development of new civic learning spaces within and across six countries: Australia; Canada; Singapore; Hungary; Lebanon and the United Kingdom. The session draws on project data to explore meanings and experiences of youth activism and engagement across the six nations, including how these meanings and experiences connect with education and learning in formal, non-formal and informal contexts. The changing experiences of youth activism and how these experiences influence education and youth policy and practice will be discussed.
