Proposal

This round table will provide a range of implementation and measurement examples for social emotional learning (SEL) relevant to education in crisis and conflict settings that go beyond the provision of stand-alone SEL lessons. More specifically, we will highlight ways in which SEL can be directly integrated within early grade reading programs, impacts of providing SEL extracurricular activities with youth, interventions that infuse SEL into in-service teacher professional development, as well programs that aim to improve and measure teachers own social-emotional competence.
