The Mediation Effect of Knowledge Management on Supplier Development Performance

Abstract

Supplier development (SD) performance is driven by variables such as supplier specificity, supplier dependence, and relational capital. Leveraging a knowledge-management (KM) perspective, this study argues that buyer/supplier KM moderates the relationship between those variables and SD performance. A survey of over 150 supply chain professionals validates such moderation effects.
