Measuring the Performance of 3PL Firms in South Korea

Abstract

A first step for developing strategies for a firm could be measuring its performance and comparing it against competitors in the market. We choose 3PL firms in South Korea and evaluate their comparative performance to propose strategic implications. We divide business processes into two stages such as asset acquisition and revenue generation stages for better understanding firms’ performance. The performance of the asset acquisition stage will reveal firms’ debt management ability, especially, under high interest rates. The result of the revenue generation stage will show us the operating efficiency of the firms.
