Sat, November 18, 10:00 to 11:30am, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Floor: Lobby Level, L403

Abstract

The ecosystem has recently been widely discussed. However, ecosystems with SMEs as dominant members are rarely mentioned previously, even though SMEs have the possibility of forming a unique and impactful ecosystem. Therefore, this study's objective is to propose an ecosystem concept based on SMEs as focal actors in the interactive boundary. SMEs have the foundation value that becomes a focal actor. This research first describes the differences between five types of ecosystems. Second, the unique value is determined by narrowing down the differences between entrepreneurship and SMEs. Finally, we construct the SMEs-based ecosystem by applying the ecosystem's concept, activities, and strategies.
