Understanding the influence of duty orientation on organizational ethical climate, employee burnout through mechanisms of ethical leadership and moral identity

Sun, November 19, 2:50 to 4:20pm, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Floor: International Level, International Salon C

Abstract

Drawing on the social exchange theory and the theory of Person-Organization Fit, this research examines the impact of clear expectations, value congruence, employee accountability, and development inducement as antecedents of duty orientation on organizational ethical climate and employee burnout. Furthermore, it investigates the mediating role of ethical leadership and the moderating role of moral identity within this framework. Drawing upon existing literature, this study builds upon established theories related to organizational behavior, ethics, leadership, and employee well-being.
