Instructors of quantitative business courses can contribute to institutional Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion curricula by utilizing examples that are representative of a more diverse society, and presenting content and perspectives developed by different minority groups.
Using an LGBTQ+ perspective we present how this can be done with various teaching materials in a Business Analytics course. For example, students and faculty can confront databasing and case study issues around use of language and identifiers, encompassing more than the typical binary genders and relationships. Different formats increasing in complexity, such as discussion questions, cases, data bases, and course projects, are also discussed.
