The study highlights the global challenges diverse industries face during the pandemic-induced supply chain disruptions, negatively impacting firm performance. It studies the impacts of intense market competition and the disruptive nature of the situation on well-established loyal customers. The study proposes that the level of loyalty can not offset the adverse effects. However, amidst challenges, opportunities may emerge for firms to enhance their performance. The study outlines strategic recommendations, including supplier diversification, diversified local affiliates, a more narrow focus on a segment to deliver a complete solution, and an innovative loyalty program.
