This study investigates how team size and gender influence escalation of commitment in group decision-making. Across three experiments, we find that larger teams reduce individual psychological commitment, while gender disparities affect perceptions of success and funding decisions. Our findings reveal nuanced dynamics of group accountability and self-justification in organizational contexts
