Session Submission Type: Panel
Our panel fits the requirements of the third track: Asia and LAC intellectual encounters, which accepts scholarly works on Latin America by researchers from diverse regions of the world, especially Asia, in any field of humanities and social sciences. Our panel focuses on social sciences. Three presenters carefully select one maestro and discuss his/her academic contribution to the discipline in general, and to Latin American studies in particular. In History, Ying-Ying Chu(褚縈瑩)investigates Jorge Basadre. In sociology, Fu-Chuan Florencia Huang (黃富娟)explores Orlando Fals-Borda. And in anthropology, Hao-Yu Cho (卓浩右) introduces Arturo Escobar.
