Abstract

The Panel discourse is about present and future relevant issues in Latin America, such as the effects of the precariousness, exclusions and emergencies in the social, political and cultural contexts and their impacts on higher education, its institutions and academic profession.
The presenters will discuss these problems from a comparative perspective and they will analyze them in depth as well as the trends in some of the countries of Latin America, specially Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The presenters will also analyze some of the current alternatives, which are being developed in the region and their academic and social relevance.
