Abstract

This presentation will elaborate on Historia doble de la Costa, a study by Colombian sociologist Orlando Fals Borda, and particularly on the topic of peasant struggles in southwest Caribbean coast of Colombia. The study will make reference to the stategy of horizontal relations between researchers and activistas through the introduction of a dialogue between different kind of knowledge and will interpret local chronicles produced by peasants in which history "from below" constrasts with academic knowledge.
