While the experiences of the immigrant seasonal workers have been a center of social science research, gender analyses have not yet adequately discussed how non-normative gender identities fare in this field of work. With a growing concern and awareness of transgender rights, health and public discrimination dominate public discourse on the topic. However, issues of work place discrimination and violence, is a growing concern among seasonal transgender Latino/a immigrant workers. Using an intersectional lens, this paper examines the experiences of transgender immigrant seasonal workers, to provide insight to the concerns and struggles they face. Their stories of struggle and resistance are challenging normative discourses within the transgender rights movement by focusing on concerns regarding their wellbeing in the workplace. Grappling with issues of work place safety, and immigrant rights among transgender workers will provide a different perspective to understanding their particular needs, in order to reimagine different ways to address systemic issues that affect the quality of life among individuals of intersectional identities.
