Canada’s increasingly visible presence in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) remains controversial. In two consecutive roundtables, experts from Canada and LAC tackle key aspects of their relationship and provide perspectives and the latest developments on issues that include: Canada, inter-American affairs and hemispheric integration; Canadian extractive and financial capital; Canadian relations with neoliberal versus post-neoliberal regimes; trends under the last decade of the Stephen Harper government and the outcome of the 2015 elections in Canada; and the current state of Canadian relations with particular countries.
