Session Submission Type: Panel
The EU-CELAC Summit of June 2015 faced the challenge of redefining the relationship between the EU and CELAC. In a time of global changes that have affected very significantly the two regions, the relationship reached an apparent end of cycle. Some other elements such as TTIP can have a major impact on the association between the two regions.
Preliminary analysis suggested repeatedly that the 2015 Summit must drive to a pragmatic association based on a renewed agenda and more concrete and specific.
This panel discusses the results of the Summit and its influence on the nature of the EU-CELAC relationship and discusses the elements that are part of the new bi-regional agenda.
