This paper analyzes Presidential leaders looking at two women: Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and Michelle Bachelet. Both were re-elected and highly popular but their policies differ. The aim of the paper is to explore their leadership style. Taking into consideration a typology of leaders which was developed in previous research, the paper aims to discuss the democratic quality of presidential leaders and questions whether women can make a difference.
